The deadline for the Student Sustainable Design Competition is quickly approaching! The deadline is April 7th. I have received several entries already, and I look forward to receiving more submissions this week.
The competition is open to everyone, yes this means non-IIDA students too! You can visit our website here, which will explain the competition.
Some of the frequently asked questions I have received thus far include:
1. Can we enter as a group?
Yes, we do accept group entries. Please note the pricing difference in the upper right-hand corner of the application.
2. How many images can I put into my Power Point?
You can submit five images total. One must include a floor plan.
3. Can I include text on my Power Point slides?
No. Since this is not detailed in the rules, we feel this may put some students at an unfair advantage. If you feel this is something that should be an option included on next year’s application, please email me or post your comments below.
4. Are International students allowed to submit entries?
Of course! We welcome all submissions that fit within the rules and regulations.
5. What are the prizes?
Prizes this year have been generously sponsored by the Mohawk Group. $1000, $500 and $250 will be awarded to first, second and third place, as well as, a free Student Membership for the 2008-2009 school year. The first place winner may also receive recognition in our IIDA publications, and will be announced in the May issue of Custom.
Again, the final deadline is April 7th! Submissions can be sent to:
