Our GRA Department sent out informative information in regards to your right to vote.  For those of you in the Chicago-land area, the first part will be of particular interest to you.

If you want to take a look at your ballot before you walk into the voting booth, you can see a copy of it online here (Chicago residents).

On Election Day, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (and so long as you are in line by 7 p.m. you are allowed to vote, even if it’s after 7 when it’s finally your turn). If you or any friends or family have any questions about voting requirements (change of address, or ID requirements, provisional ballots, assistance getting to the polls, etc.) there is information available online.

If you know anyone who isn’t lucky enough to be encouraged by their employer to vote and hasn’t been explicitly told that they’re allowed time to vote–remind them!

IIDA’s GRA Department strongly encourages everyone to vote!

One response to “Vote!

  1. Harkening back to your previous post about Ben & Jerry’s giving away free ice cream to people who voted, election laws prohibit proving incentives to encourage/discourge people from voting, therefore Ben & Jerry’s, Krispy Kreme and a few other companies have been forced to revise this promotion to simply offering free product on election day.
