Maggie & Mary @ The Mart

Oh the adventures Mary & Maggie, the IIDA interns, had at the show. Twas their first experience, but they swear it is not their last. For your special viewing they have made a list of things that they learned at NeoCon11.

Photo-Bombing: The act of using PhotoBooth to colorfully picture bomb every Apple monitor in every showroom at NeoCon. “Photo- Bombing” will be next year’s NeoCon theme.

It is appropriate to drink wine at any time of the day if you are sitting in a wine glass.

Elevators are the Devil’s playchild. The stairs are not only the quickest way to get where you need to go but also the roomiest.

InterfaceFLOR made sure to remind Mary and Maggie that their Table Tennis skills need improvement. Also, that Ping Pong is rightfully called Table Tennis.

Writing on walls and tables and things is not only acceptable but encouraged. Needless to say, those were some of their favorite places to visit. Leaving love on table tops and chalkboards across NeoCon11 was a job M&M did well.

Make sure to bring lots of business cards. Especially if you want to win things.

Aboot them Canadians, do they know how to have a good time or what? M&M agree that IIDA’s Cross Borders Networking Reception was the highlight of NeoCon11 for them, the food the drinks, heck Mary even learned to walk in heels for the first time.

NeoCon is one of the only exceptions where tweeting while talking, tweeting while walking, tweeting while eating, tweeting all day long is not considered rude. M&M had no problem with that!

The badge. Great for knowing who is who and where they come from, proving that NeoCon is a networking powerhouse.

The new products, the immaculately designed showrooms and the awesome people in attendance made these NeoCon newbies proud to be a part of such an amazing event!

Were you able to make it to NeoCon 2011? What was your favorite part of the show?
